Where FreshBooks is the better choice

  • FreshBooks has native iPhone and Android apps from the app stores. We are a web app you add to your home screen today.
  • It is a broader product than ours, positioned as accounting software for small businesses, with a long track record and a large help centre.

Where InvoiceCharlie is the better choice

  • No client limits on any plan. Your first 10 invoices are free, then $1 each capped at $12 a month, or $99 a year.
  • A quiet month costs nothing on pay-as-you-go: you pay for invoices you send, not for a subscription.
  • Invoices in your client's language (seven languages) and a free invoice maker that needs no account at all.

Which should you pick?

If you want a long-established, broader small-business suite with store-bought phone apps, FreshBooks is a sound choice. If you mainly send invoices, the client limits and monthly fee buy you a lot you won't use — pay-per-invoice with a monthly cap is usually far cheaper.
