A real company, in New Zealand
InvoiceCharlie is built and run by Zeabyte Limited, a software company in Auckland, New Zealand. Not a side project, not an anonymous app store listing. There is a registered company behind it, and a person who answers the support email.

Why a New Zealand company matters if you are in Europe
The European Commission has formally recognised New Zealand as providing an adequate level of data protection. In plain terms, personal data can move from the EU to New Zealand in the same way it moves inside the EU, with no extra paperwork, no standard contractual clauses and no transfer risk assessment. That is a decision the Commission has granted to only a short list of countries.
If you are a business in Germany, France, Spain, Italy or the Netherlands, that makes us a straightforward choice for holding your client list and your invoices, which is not something every invoicing tool can say.
Why we built it
Invoicing software is either free and unpleasant, or good and priced for an accounting department. A sole trader sending six invoices a month should not be paying what a fifty-person company pays, and should not have to learn double-entry bookkeeping to get paid.
So InvoiceCharlie does one job properly. Make an invoice that looks right, send it, get paid, chase it politely if you are not. Charlie is priced so a quiet month costs you almost nothing and a busy month still costs less than lunch.
What we promise
- Your data is yours. Export everything, any time, and take it with you if you leave.
- No surprise bills. The price is on the pricing page, in full, including what happens if you send a lot.
- We never email your clients anything except the invoices and reminders you asked us to send.
- If something breaks and it is our fault, we say so.
